With it running in gear have someone look at both rear wheels and in the center there is a nut... is one turning??

The wheels are attached to a hub just like your car. The hub is splined to mate with the axle. Sometimes the splines strip out. If once you take the hubcaps off, you get someone to watch the big nut in the middle of the wheel/hub to see if it spins independent of the wheel. If it does report back here. Easy to fix, we'll help

you can buy the hub on ebay foe about 45-50 dollors. It is a easy fix. I should only take about 1/2 hour to fix.
