Lol! I won't tell em if you don't! here's to hoping it's something that simple. Since the valve on top lets expanding vapors escape, something has to allow air in as the fuel goes away.

I agree with you on that one. I pulled the fuel line again last night after it sat all day and the pump was spitting fuel like crazy, so I put it back together and rode it until it died again. Once it died I pulled the fuel line again and it was barely spitting any fuel at all and the fuel filter was empty. I didn't have the time to run it again with the cap off, but I think you're on to something here.
