Hello, how long do crank seals last? I know that yamaha parts last longer than knockoff parts, thanks

Tough question to answer just depends really if you haven't done them on your cart in 5-10 years do them if it's a new to you cart do them when they get really bad that can lean out the motor and break rings and score cylinder

I changed seals about 5 years ago, i might just doit, just to be safe.

Some may say it's not necessary but I like piece of mind easy job and gives you opportunity to clean up motor

Check for any oils seepage or grime around the oil pump and flywheel area.

It's like anything else, use and abuse will greatly affect the longevity of all parts. If you are running an ungoverned cart around at 20+ mph 5 days a week then you can expect to be changing the seals every 5 years, maybe even less. If you are a weekend camper who drives the thing here and there on a Saturday they'll get you at least 10 years. Bottom line is that driving conditions dictate the life of parts.
