I bought my G1 few weeks ago. Have had few issues I ordered a crank seal kit last week and that should be here monday. Today I called plowman to order the top end kit he told me i had to identify my engine told me to look like 9 oclock on engine bay fan shroud. I just got back and did sure enough there is a code there but its not a J its a S215 what the heck is a S215 im lost now bad.

You can look for the casting number on the cylinder. J10- all years except for 1982, that would be a J17.

Not at all. you don't have a J17/1982 cylinder, so any J10 top end kit will work for you
