I don't have a lot of experience with golf carts in particular, but rebuilt more 4whwelers and dirt bikes than I can count. My advice, stick with OEM. Usually will be either mikuni or keihin. Get a rebuild kit, yes they're about the same price as a brand new Chinese knock off but you're much better off rebuilding yours than chasing issues created with a Chinese eBay carb.

You're best off cleaning it real well. If you have a JG5 that's a G9 correct? That's what i've just bought. Carb cleaner, compressed air is really all you need. The only parts you may have to replace would be the o-ring on the bowl and the needle valve. The rest on these carbs all have pretty big jets, so unless it's REALLY bad shape you should be able to just clean it and run.

Trust me, stick with the Mikuni. The "Mokini" is junk... Mine came with a brand new Mokini and an old nasty Mikuni in the storage cubby by the steering wheel. There's a reason I took the o-ring from the new one and cleaned the heck out of the Mikuni ;)

Junk chinese carbs are cheap, but frequently will leave you chasing your tail when they don't run right. The only time i've EVER had any luck with a chinese carb was on an old honda rancher... but those things are so forgiving and bulletproof you can pretty much do whatever you want to them and they still run good.

quick google search. there's plenty of carb kits out there. but you can probably just clean it real good and be fine. There is a reason a new OEM one is $200 and the chinese ones are $19.99 free shipping...

Or you can use this page to find the individual parts you need and order them from online or your local shop.
