Default Yamaha G2A??? Carb. adjustments?

Hey guys... My buddy dropped off this Yamaha to me because it only runs with choke... New carb. installed prior. I started looking it over and noticed all the adjustment screws are in all they way.

Can anyone confirm this is a G2a? I've looked for an hour and half and can't find a serial number.

Can anyone tell me a good starting point with the carb. adjustment screws?

Thanks in advance!!!

The one on the top (left) is an air jet. The one on the bottlmnis the float bowl drain.

There are no adjustments. Take it apart and clean it out real well. Make sure all the passages and the main jet see clean and clear.

If carb checks out then you've got an air leak. Common is where the carb attaches to the head, the plastic spacer cracks *very* easily.. also air box lid must have a perfect seal or aainnit wont be happy.

Oh and I think that is a G9. G2 had a white steering column but otherwise pretty much the same

Your buddy’s gas cap lid is missing! That’s not the problem but he’s officially in the club.

FYI, I checked my mixture adjustment screw (top one circled in red) and it’s 1.5 turns out and running well.
