Default 96 Ezgo txt build.

Hi all. I'm new to the forum, but have been scouring these pages for over a year gleaning any info I can. I just picked up an ezgo txt with a rod knock and am in the process of building it up into a woods cruiser. I love the big buggy look and want to build this for trails in central pa so more power and bigger tires are almost a must.

So far I've ordered a 6" spindle lift, a predator 420 engine and everything to use a factory clutch. I'm also ordering 25s and itp wheels when I figure out which ones fit the ezgo hubs. The cart was missing the starter/gen so I'm going key start for now and maybe adding the gen later depending on how that goes.

I have a few issues to work out and may have to go bigger on the lift, but I think it should be pretty fun when it's done. Pics to follow soon.

-Kris

I was just up for the whole bloom fair so I have been by knoebels a few times this past week.

I already have the tires ordered, so they will be fitting;). I have a small fab/performance shop half way between Harrisburg and state college so if I need to make mods, I will. Where do they usually rub? Rear quarters or front when turning? I was thinking about spacers if needed.

I'm not a no buck builder, but I got the cart for free:).

sometimes you get rub when turning left with the front left tire hitting the brake pedal arm that comes through the floor

Big block is already prepped. I just have to yank the other motor and build a mount or new cradle. I needed more pep so I figured this was the way to go for power and cost.

The stock engine I have runs, so I figured I can sell/part out the knocker to recoup some funds...

Thanks! I've been waiting to do this for a while, but the cart never materialized. I almost bought a way crappier cart for 1400 bucks a while back and now I'm glad I didn't get it.

More to come!
