2003 TXT Dash - Ignition and Light Switch
First Post so go easy on me. I am an A&P mechanic for a living so somewhat embarrassed to ask this question. Is there some easier access to behind the dash so I can get access to ignition wires and light switch that someone put in. I am OK with removing rivets as it looks that is what must be done but find it surprising there is not some easier way to get back there. I have looked right at things and missed them in the past therefore I am asking you all where my stupid is.
Thank-you ahead of time. |

Re: 2003 TXT Dash - Ignition and Light Switch
you can pull the whole thing out. there is 2 small plastic in the corners of the switch plate. remove those (will need replaced when removed) and the whole unit comes out.
you can also remove the cupholders to give a bigger hole to get you hands back there. they just snap out pull up hard, they will come out. |

If you are careful you can push the centers out of those little plastic switch rivets and they will drop into the trough behind the dash. If your hand fits you can get them out with your fingers.
