295 to 350 MCI question
I have a 2001 txt that had a 295 and I got a 350 MCI. I have put the motor in changed to the 350 carb I was even able to get the muffler on (with some work) it starts and runs ok at idle but if I try to accelerate it just doesnt run well and really won't accelerate. I am using the coil off the 295. can anybody tell me why it wont run? is it the coil? any help would be appreciated.

Re: 295 to 350 MCI question
When I bought the cart I have it had not ran for some time and I could only get it to accelerate by choking it it turn out to be this baffle was not on correctly Item #: 72529G01P make sure this is in place otherwise it does not have the proper amount of vacuum to draw fuel from bowl

Re: 295 to 350 MCI question
I have not changed the fuel pump nor have I changed the wiring harness. I am assuming all of this needs to be done? Im trying to find just the harness since I really dont need the muffler.
I tagged the muffler with a hammer a few times to get it to fit around the frame. The mufflers are very sturdy and will take the beating to get them to fit. But if you have to buy the wiring kit you might as well just use the new muffler and sell the old one on ebay. Where does the baffle go? |

I just got through swapping out a MCI for a non MCI in a 2001 Jacobsen 1100 Hauler & right now it's running great using one of the V-Twin fuel pumps from Tom @ CPP,I also talked to ezgogo & he's running the factory non MCI pump with his MCI conversion. Both of us are using the factory non MCI muffler,I've also been running mine without the baffle (anti backfire plate) in place as well . Hope this helps a little. |
