Re: Tach and speedo
What 79.95 in euro's equal to in dollars. I have the vapor kit, you will have to make mtg. brkt's for the speed sensor. The tach function does not work accurately on a v-twin engine due to the magneto ignition. All other functions of the unit work well, it is reliable.

Re: Tach and speedo
If your putting the vapor on a stock motor, the tach will work fine. I have had mine on my cart for 3 yrs. no trouble. You also need to order the temp sender extension lead with the kit. I always order the kit for the Trailboss 350 Polaris atv. to get the correct sender with the kit. The temp. sender mounts under the spark plug to get head temp. The tach, leads need to be lenghthend also, Trail Tech said to be sure and use the same gauge wire.

Re: Tach and speedo
I have been looking at the Trail tech myself. I have the Kawasaki fe400 in my RXV. Still wondering if the tach will behave with it. Not sure how long the original temp sensor wire is but good to know to order an extension.

Re: Tach and speedo
I don't know what golf car you have, if you have the long hub, you make an aluminum angle about 3/4 x 1 x 3/4 long. Drill a hole in the 1" side near the end for the bolt with magnet in it. Use a stainless steel hose clamp to mount the bracket to the straight part of the hub inside. Put the screw part opposite the bracket. Make another bracket 1 x 1 x 1" for the speed sensor. Drill and tap your steering arm for the bracket to bolt on. Drill a hole on the other leg of the bracket for the sensor. Make sure the sensor is high enough to line up with the magnet. Adjust the air gap between the magnet and sensor to a 1/4". If you have a short hub simply glue the magnet to the square wheel stud head with epoxy and make the sensor bracket to a size that will line up with magnet. Mount everything on the drivers side so the sensor lead will reach the head unit. Sounds like allot, but this is very simple to do. Look close at your front end and it will make sense.

So to extend the tach lead just use the same gauge wire and slice it in?
