Default Crankcase gasket necessary on a 350 robin?

Hey everybody, I'm fixing an oil leak I discovered after purchasing this workhorse. It is leaking between the case and the block, I tore it all down tonight and cleaned up the sealing surfaces. Now my question is can I use something like "right stuff" gasket maker or does the gasket act as a shim for crank shaft end play??

how can over 40 people look at this topic and nobody have an answer yet???? should i just call the ezgo dealer? i really didn't think this would be a stumper for a bunch of cart guys with build experience, not trying to be a smart *** but was hoping for a little guidance from someone with more experience than myself on this motor before i go buttoning it back up.

for everyones information, i spoke to a robin engine tech and the gasket is necessary in order to provide adequate crank end play spacing as well as the shims on the balancer shaft and crank.

Thanks for the feedback. I may need that info this fall. I have one with low compression. May be doing an overhaul myself.
