Re: That was... interesting
I moved the front springs to the top of the axle by flipping the trailer hitch plate over and to the top, setting the springs on top of it and then ran longer bolts down through the perch caps, hitch plate and bottom spring perches to clamp it together.
But then the tie rods rubbed the springs a tad, so I made some 1.5 x 1" blocks out of square tubing for btwn the body and the rear of the front springs with longer bolts to correct the problem. I did have to use 2 shock extensions on each front shock to keep from buying longer shocks and installed them on top the shocks out of sight. On the back I added 1.5 x 2" blocks (square tubing) and longer bolts. Mine originally sat lower in the front, now sits level, works great for a total of about 35 bucks for grade 8 bolts, tubing and extensions. |

Hmm.
You did the flips in the front and back? I don't have the metal fabrication ability or material to create blocks as you commented. |

Re: That was... interesting
On st-350s the rear axle is already below the springs, no flipping required, just added the blocks btwn the springs and
axle with longer bolts. On the front I lifted as I said above, they have a 4" lift stock, just added 4 more. |

Okay. That make sense.
I'll have to look around to see if anyone makes the blocks. Thanks! |

Re: That was... interesting
I bought the square tubing at a place that sold tubing and rod stock and the last
time he cut it to to size for me, I have cut it to size with a cut off saw too. |

Re: That was... interesting
I looked around and Mike's Motor Toys has a level kit that will lift the front-end so I can use 23" tires on it. Sweet!

Re: That was... interesting
Anyone running twin batteries in their gas-powered cart?
I've been thinking about setting ours up so one battery has the engine and the other has the rest of the cart, especially the radio. I do know I need a battery isolator, but not sure which one. What have you used? |

Re: That was... interesting
New voltage regulator installed.
I'm getting 14.3v to 14.5 at the battery terminals when the engine is running full throttle. Now, time for a new battery instead of stealing the tractor's battery. |
