1986 gas ezgo manual ?

Hello,
I recently bought a 1986 gas Marathon at a local estate sale.
Does anyone know where to get a service manual for this cart ?

Also does anyone have an idea why the cart has the following problems ?

It runs good but will backfire and the cart will not accelerate from a full stop
well.
In order to get it moving I have to get the engine to rev up , then it starts forward with a sudden jerk ; so driving it around is no fun .

Once it gets moving it will go fast , however.

It sounds like you have two issues. First the backfire is it doing this when you let off the throttle and then back on? This is the common problem and is fairly easy to fix, answer that question and we will get you fixed up.

Your jerking issue is going to be a clutch problem that may be cured by cleaning. I would recommend that you jack up the rear end and gently rev the engine. The drive clutch should slowly close and grab the belt and the driven clutch should slowly open as the engine speed builds up. Let us know what you see and we can fix it.

Here is a manual for an 85 but it is essentially the same thing
