Default 2017 Club Car Gas EFI new Battery Idles but won’t Run

I’m working on a fleet of 2017 club car precedent with the Subaru, EX40 EFI gas motors. I know this is probably a simple fix but I’m just trying to confirm if I’m on the right track. I just put a brand new battery in the cart and when I check the battery with a meter and it has a good charge but as soon as I press down on the pedal in the maintenance mode, it will idle or try to start, but won’t engage and run. After I try and run the cart and check the battery again it’s showing that it’s low.
I also have the same issue with another cart that has the existing 2017 battery and it’s doing the same thing.
I’m assuming this might be the solenoid, but looking for other suggestions for these EFI motors? Thanks in advance.

it the engine actually running and idling or are you just turning it over and running the battery down with the starter? Im not up to speed on these carts but typically on a gas cart the solenoid is used to activate the starter motor and it sounds like thats the only thing that we have confirmed is running so not sure how it could be at fault unless theres another on this cart used for something else.

ok see my edit above^ sounds lie your engines arent running for some reason or another. I would pull a spark plug and see if its wet after trying to start or dry. and start from there. if its dry it may be a fuel delivery issue. if its wet you may have no spark which is easy to test at that point.

If I could figure out how to send a video on the forum I would do that. I’m sure this is a simple fix.

When was the last time it was running and working? has it been sitting for a period of time? if so was thier stabilizer in the fuel? are you sure there is fuel in the tank? (perhaps the float on the gauge is stuck) EFI or not if the fuel hoses are not the correct type for ethonal they slowly break down and plug things I have seen it more than once.

So I now have both carts running, but it seems like they either they are running too rich or too lean, and if I feather the butterfly at the fuel injection, then I can keep them running smooth so I’m thinking it’s an adjustment on one of the cables or it’s running too rich or lean and I’m not sure where that screw is to adjust that.

It should not need adjustment out of the blue like that being fuel injection it should automatically adjust the air fuel ratio. My guess is something is dirty or partially plugged still. If you haven't already I would suggest dumping the fuel and adding some new fuel with fuel injector cleaner

I agree. How long have these carts been sitting? Sounds like bad or contaminated fuel. Carts don’t like to run on water.

Injector may be plugged up as well if the gas is old. Someone on here posted a part number to a Subaru injector a while back that wasn’t expensive and they said it worked perfectly
