![]() Just researching and was wondering about using 4 lithium batteries vs one large lithium battery. With 4 batteries, would I need to install a BMS or would the charger keep the pack consistent? Any pros / cons?

![]() Four batteries are a hassle because you have to keep them balanced since there are 4 independent BMS. One 51 volt is definitely the way to go.

![]() Also insure the large single 48v battery you choose has a peak output of 350-500 amps. Anything less may result in unwanted shut downs from overdraw.

![]() Series batteries with Lithium is a bad idea! Don't do it. Go with a single 48V battery. It will have a BMS that handles all of the individual cells during charge and discharge. Separate 12V won't stay balanced unless you charge them separately which is a pain.
