![]() I didn't see if it has been discussed or not, but you are only allowed to bring lithium batteries under 100Wh, and in pre approved circumstances, 100-160Wh onto an airplane. And it must be in your carry on, not in a checked bag. At 36V, that's only about 4.5AH on capacity.

![]() The standards are set by the FAA, and they are pretty strict. The reason most mobility devices use FLA or SLA batteries is because they are approved to fly at with higher energy storages. 160Wh is not going to get you very far in a motorized wheel chair.

![]() My scooter WH is 216 (Gel-Cell) and I've never had any issues with an airline storing it in the cargo hold.
I can also attest you can put a lot of miles on this before it runs outta juice. Now, I'm not climbing trails or steep mountains, but after 6 or 7 miles on one of these, my body has had enough. |
