Opps sorry I went and deleted a sentence and it change to whole story. After I sanded the plug down the first time it was whiteish then I sanded again and it was black then i sanded again then got it tuned. .sorry missed a big part lol, i edited it now.

Hate to bring up bad news but look at the bottom of air filter cover, By removing that rib you are no longer filtering your air.

thats not the bottom on the filter. .that is the lid i made sue that every thing i did did not stop it from being filtered properly
Pictures 4 5 6 are of the lid
Pics 1,2,3,7,8,9 are of the bottom section which the filter sits in

if that was the case then the from the factory there would be no filtering already. If you look at Pic 3 there you can see the small stock restriction that the air box came with. If you look at plowmans airfilter and you will see he does the same just not to the extent that I did.

Correct me if i am wrong i though that i might have wanted to leave a bit of plastic on the bottom edge but after looking some more i figured the seal to be enough. Plus there is some oil on the other side that would ahve dirt stuck to if if i would have sucked up any dirt and its clean as a whistle. Let me know if i am wrong but i think your thinking its the lower half of the air box, if that was the case i would be screwed :)
