![]() I just purchased a 1997 G16 yesterday. It ran fine in the heated warehouse it was stored in.
I'm in Wisconsin, and I transported it two hours in 20 degree temperature. When I took it off the trailer, I had a hard time getting it shifted to reverse, the handle moved hard. Now it won't move forward. It makes a scraping sound and barely moves. Reverse seems to be ok. Is it the cold? Any other suggestions? Thanks |

![]() Maybe the forward /reverse shifter cables are frozen ? Or maybe they need replacing ? Good luck Dave

![]() Thanks, Dave. Obviously I hope it's that too, and I suspect it is. I just don't want to do something that's going to cause further problems. I'll get it back in a heated space and see.

![]() It sounds like the shifter cables were frozen and not allowing it to change properly. Spray them really good with a good penetrating oil.
