Yes but unlike the cars ive painted, I just sanded and painted this one with an acrylic spray paint that works well with plastics from Valu.. Its far from a show finish but it will get scuffed and scratched up being a campground cart and this will be easily repaired. I did the same to my old G1 in the avatar photo back in like 2008 using Fusion spray paint and that held up well so..

What newer body did you put on your G8 and did you have to do a lot of modification?

The G14/G16/G19/G22 body will fit and bolt on fine. You’ll probably want to use a shorter bumper as the old one will be too far out. There are also two holes for the windshield frame that may have to be plugged.

speaking of bumpers.. I replaced mine again. Plowmans has some of these discontinued jakes bumpers left.. I looked for them for 6 months prior.
I also swapped in one of those g16 deluxe dash kits with the locking glovebox's

The great thing about this cart is it was always stored inside so no rot.. It was a one owner cart when I bought it.

Has anyone added a third brake light LED strip to their G8? Mine is configured to be road-worthy with headlamps, marker lights, turn signals, horn, etc. The brake and turn signal lamps are controlled by a PM-500 7-wire controller mounted on the steering column. There is no schematic for this modification. But I need to know if any of you have tried to mount such a third brake light and connected it to this controller. I bought the brake light from Amazon. The nomenclature is: "LED Third Brake Light Strip, 35inch Universal Red 3rd Car Brake Light Strip - 3-Functions Flexible High Mount Stop Brake Light, IP67 Waterproof & 144pcs Lamp Beads,Brake, Running, Flowing"

Thanks for your feedback.

Hey just picked up this 1993 G8 super cheap but it runs amazing. It was a barn find, just sitting most of its life, seems to be in great shape. Was hoping to find some accessories for it but seems that's a bit challenging. The seats are sooo comfortably and the engine runs incredibly smoothly while just making a purring sound. I have lots to learn about this generation of yamaha.
