Another day, another problem - ISO Mount
Well, my HD springs arrived today so I thought I would install them real quick this evening... Once I got the cart up and wheel off, I noticed the following "lift" installed. (see attached images)
Is this just a flipped ISO mount with a 2" piece of steal tubbing? Is there something better I can use? After getting the old springs off and starting to line up the new ones, I then noticed the ISO mount bushing was shot and completely fell apart. With time running out, I figured I would finish this side and deal getting a new bushing later. After fighting to line things up for over an hour due to the steal tube lift, I finally got all the bolts back in the ISO mount and started to snug them up when one broke... Gave up for the night and left if with 3 bolts so I could get it put away and get some more parts ordered. Can anyone explain what the steal tube lift is all about and if it is ok to leave that in place? I am going to order new ISO mounts and bushings for both sides now, but wanted to check if there was something better to get to also replace the tubing. Thanks again all. Definitely learning a lot about the cart, but having a blast doing it. Just wish my money tree would start producing. Last edited by knwilson; 11-19-2016 at 01:43 AM.. Reason: Removed question. I figured out. |

There is another way by using U bolts but you will need the bolts and a couple parts that go on top the axle.
Here's a picture of the parts, it's a spindle lift but you will get the idea. http://www.allsportsliftkits.com/upl...5/ASM-E6SG.jpg All Sports might sell you the parts... maybe. |

Lift Kit for EZGO TXT - Gas - 4" Economy (1994-2001.5) I am assuming this eliminates the need for the ISO mount and will work with the HD springs I am adding as well? Thanks again! |

Re: Another day, another problem - ISO Mount
You assumed wrong, the 2 parts on top (in picture) is for a cart that has the spring plates
welded on the bottom of the axle, used to move the springs above the axle. In the picture they are upside down. |

Also, is my cart not a 2000 TXT then? It doesn't have the welded on plates which it appears all 94-2000 models do? I am so confused now... |

Re: Another day, another problem - ISO Mount
All gas txt models had iso mounts that I know of, electric models had the welded on plates,
I think the vendor is confused. At any rate buy the iso mounts or read post 2 again. |
