Due to the work involved and the level of skill required, if your BMS is working I wouldn't suggest you replace it, but bear in mind that there have been ET BMS failures that have taken out the entire pack and irreversibly damaged the cells.

If it were me, I would replace it but only because I'm experienced in these things and the risk of doing further damage is little to none.
Thanks again for taking the time to explain that. I'm going to purchase the BMS mentioned to have on hand and look into having it swapped out in the near future.

Before you purchase the BMS, which ET battery do you have and what cart do you have? Any modifications?

I have the 105ah kit in a 2016 club car precedent with a 400amp Altrax, stock motor (JE), on 20" tires running on flat land in Fl.

The JK will suit your needs. I got the model wrong, it’s the B2A24S20P, the same as Ice-X recommended.

it should be mentioned the ET used completely different bms in different batteries... some got daly and some got the ant bms which personally I dont think is as bad as the daly models.

You’re correct. We don’t know which one Mycart has though.

well with the ant bms an owner also has the option of swapping in a larger rated bms without doing any rewiring since they use the same harness. I know even a 200a bms "should" handle it But a larger bms is stressed less and some bms makers advertise ratings differently (like ant whos "500amp" bms is really a 250amp continuous bms)..

Well, ET battery issue again. Cart died while driving, no sounds, smoke, or beeping. Won't charge with the replacement charger recently purchased. Flips from green/red/green/red every second.

I guess I'll try a bms "reset" like I've read some others suggest by disconnecting everything but the charger. If that doesnt work, I'm headed down the open the box and inventory cell health and if all is well BMS replacement.

Hopefully cells are good and all you need to do is swap out the BMS.

Hopefully

The good news is I was able to successfully wake or reset the bms. Let it charge for a few hours. It was late so left it as is. I’ll put things back together today, but definitely going to replace the bms still.

I guess Daly is not advised, so I’ll try and find something in stock with higher specs.
