Speed Code 4 on Precedent Excel
I have a 2010 Precedent IQ Excel with stock tires / no lift. It is currently speed code 3 and runs around 14-15 mph.
I know this has been touched on in numerous old threads but I am wondering if anyone with this setup has done the speed code 4 upgrade and what your experience is. Thanks. Tom |

Re: Speed Code 4 on Precedent Excel
Sorry to revive an old thread, but it seems to fit best here.
My 2010 Precedent, stock, was running about 14 MPH. After the lift, wheels and 23" tires, I am at 18-19MPH. I contacted Plum Quick about doing the Bandit upgrade. they told me that before I do, I needed to get my cart checked out, because I likely had a code 2 program. That makes no sense based on what I have read on numerous pages here. What say you all? Also, does it matter...I mean, if I do the bandit upgrade, does it matter what the previous setting (Code 2,3,4) was? Here is the exact email from PQ: Speed at 14 mph before adding taller tires would be code 2, you need to have your cart checked with a programmer to see what code you have and to make sure you have code 3. The Bandit PH upgrade will get you around 25-27 mph with a good quality battery pack and 25 psi in your tires. |

Re: Speed Code 4 on Precedent Excel
I think You mis-read his post:
...After the lift, wheels and 23" tires, I am at 18-19MPH...Speed code 3 tops at about 3,300 rpm, which according to the calculator is about right for his speed. |

Thanks guys. To clarify. I was at 14mph on stock 18.5 tires. Now on 23"tires I see 18-19 on my GPS. It's a phone based GPS, but should be directional correct.
