I had noise on acceleration. Have you checked your RE fluid? In mine, I pulled the pan, cleaned everything, put in the best synthetic I could find, and reduced my RE noise to nearly nothing.

Even if it doesn't leak, the fluid may deteriorate over time.

I'd try the fluid change first but you may need a motor guide ring.

I have a 2006 Club Car precedent with the same issue. I drained and replaced the rear end with a synthetic gear lube last year and still has the same whine. It only does it in cold weather. In the middle of summer no noise. Does this sound like a motor guide? Is that what you found your problem to be down under? The motor guide sounds like a complicated repair, anyone have any tips who have done this on a Precedent?

Thanks
