Micro kill switch

OK I am removing the key switch from my 88 cc ds I tied all the wires together minus the hot and ground. I flip switch on and it blew the 10amp fuse? I cut all the wires apart again and tried this one at a time. What I have found is the back and wight wire shorting out the fuse. So looking at the wiring diagram in the stick I found it goes back to the micro kill switch I took the ground off the micro switch and flipped the ignition switch back on and with a light tester found that the micro switch is throwing power to the ground. So I'm assuming that the micro switch is bad? Can anyone please confirm my diagnosis???
