series club car DS
Upgraded 10 hp speed motor ( cart currently goes 22mph with just motor and stock controller)
I have a rear seat (we spend a lot of time at the race track caring around full load of full-size adults LOL)
Upgraded the suspension to all heavy duty springs
I have 12 inch wheels. Low-profile tires
Not lifted.
I want 600 Amp controller for maximum torque gains and to get the most out of my new motor. I have upgraded my cables to 4 gauge
I have the heavy duty forward / reverse switch and solenoid

Use a 700 amp FSIP control with a 400 super solenoid for $499.
Some would argue 500a FSIP and 200a HSD solenoid is all you need for $449.

He's going to need to upgrade to 2 gauge wires, right?

Hi Sweeney565,

Your 600 A Torque Controller will work with your Series DS car. We just need to confirm that it has our latest firmware installed. You will also need the Series Vehicle Module.

Please call us and we will work with you to get the Controller working on your vehicle - 1-888-398-7078.

Cheers, SilverWolf

Ideally yes, but I have seen many 500a setups with 4g do fine on-road.

Well, I apologize for the wrong information

That is a pretty nice controller, quick question, is the Armature a Full Bridge driver or Do You still need to reverse the current externally?

Just trying to learn more about the controller so I don't inadvertently pass along bad information....

Understandably, until new information is available we operate with old information. I don't think I have read anything on the forum about this before?

That is an interesting feature that the Kelly controllers have had for at least 5 years when I first saw it.

I have however never seen much about the Kelly controllers here, other than comments about poor reliability and questionable quality.

One of the other interesting features I have seen is that some of those "flexible" controllers also have a "Full Bridge Driver" for the main current driver (Armature).

So when You use it with a Series Motor, You just hook the Armature in Series With the Stator right at the Motor and just run 2 cables to the controller.

The Controller Reverses the Current internally without the need for an External FNR or Reversing Contactor.

Pretty neat, that is why I asked SilverWolf to comment if the Torque Controller offers that capability.
