Re: Broke my 350
It definitly cheaper to buy a motor than to rebuild one. You'll spend a ton of money fixing it, more trying to make it run fast and then be dissappointed that it doesn't have any torque.
I'm modifying a 350 and it can be $$$. I agree w/PM and Ruredy. I'm in pretty deep and need to complete it........... A 350 short stroke will NEVER have hi torque. |

Re: Broke my 350
Just curious on what broke, bearing cap, connecting rod itself, ristpin ??? Thought I might just change the rod for now. I found a guy on ebay who sells rebuilt 350s for $650. I just ride my cart in a campground in Florida during winter and a 350 is fast enough. I get enough complaints now with my Yammy G1 Gasser about going too fast and WHY IS YOUR CART SO NOISY? Thanks all, I think, I'm going to enjoy this forum. ED

Re: Broke my 350
I would talk with these guys, they have rebuilt, guaranteed for a better price. they also have the engine parts and are a site sponsor here.

Re: Broke my 350
as far as I can tell it just broke the rod I drove it home about 8 miles on one cylinder so the biggest piece left was about 3/4" square so I'm not exactly sure.
And yes the 26" tires do take a little umph to get moving but once you get them going you just wish you had better brakes. I'll see How the new 18hp does at pulling me around. |
