Default Ezgo 1998 timing

I have the clutch off. Timing cover off. Trying to set the timing before putting belt on. I have cam lined up with notch but I can not see a mark on drive pulley to line up. Any help please advise. Also my clutch has something inside that moves and makes a noise when I flip it over. Is this normal? If I have to remove the drive pulley I can't figure out how to do it without an impact. When I try to loosen the crank turns

Take the bottom bolt out, the one on the drive pulley, take the top washer off and line up the key way to the little nub/mark on the case. Basically put the key way up

How do I remove bolt. It just turns shaft. Also is my clutch shaft ok to put clutch back on? Also if I flip clutch over am I supposed to hear something move inside?

I just use my battery impact and zap it off. And I don’t know much about the clutch info. I just have rebuilt a couple of these and know how to set the timing.

Yes sir. I always make a mark with a sharpie on the top of each gear when it is aligned properly just so when I put the belt back on you can make sure they are still lined up by just referencing the sharpie mark
