They didn't make a 90 model 4 stroke which may explain the wiring mess.

Monster,
There is a guy on this forum by the name of roady89 that posted schematics for the 4 cycle marathon. I found them by searching the ezgo gas section. I searched for 4 cycle marathon electrical schematics. Not sure if these will help you but the schematics are detailed enough. May not be the year you need but might get you started in the right direction.

Ok did EZGO make some four strokes marathons while also making two strokes? I have an 89 and 92 and both are two strokes. The reason I am asking is that would be a very easy swap for me if there is such a thing. Is it possible that your four stroke was swapped in at a later date?

Thank all of you for your help, i am sure this will help me. I am confused as to weather or not a 4 stroke was even an option on this 1990 cart. If it is a motor swap whoever did it did an excellent job except for the electrical.

no 4cycle in 90, most likely they swaped the 4cycle and swing arm with the diff.
