Default Wiring the coil on a new 350

I just bought a new Robin for a 2001 Workhorse and the coil setup is much different, the new set up has coil and an ignitor and I'm not sure how to wire it up. The old engine has a standard style coil with 2 wires with spade connectors, the new one has 2 small pins on the coil and appears to need a lock style connector. Any ideas?

I've got the same motor and put it in my '99 wokhorse. Did you Buy the MCI retro kit with it? It has the new muffler and ignitor and adapter wires to change. A different coil comes w/ the MCI motor.

If I have all the parts, can I wire it up myself? It looks pretty straight forward, also, is the muffler completely different?

yea, you really need that, the MCI motors starts better than the older motors, and those parts are probably why. EZGO was closing out their stock and the kit was under 100. then. You'll need to contact our sponsors or local EZGO dealer. Your old muffler will not bolt op to the new head without moving one of the mounts!
Sorry for the bad news.

if it's pretty straight forward when why are you asking how to wire it? and you have your old engine and muffler you should be able to tell what's different??

I think I saved the instructions. I'll check tomorrow @ the shop and let you know. If I have them I'll mail you a copy. Theres not a lot of difference in wiring.
