Default Alert beeps, normal or problem indicator?

I replaced the controller in my 2008 YDRE with a new OEM from Yamaha. The original part has been superceded and I got the replacement part. When the cart goes in forward or reverse there are three beeps of the backup alert. If going forward it then stops. If going reverse it switches to the constant backup alert. I don't remember it doing this when first installed. Is this a normal alert or some problem indicator? If normal, is there any way to turn it off?

Cart doesn't happen to roll after brake is released, but before gas pedal is pressed. To demonstrate this, go try to push the cart. (Tow/run ON, brake unlocked, key in any position- off or on doesn't matter).

I get that, but is it rolling before the gas pedal is pressed, causing the cart to freak-out (hey, I'm rolling uncontrolled without driver input! I better stop that & let the driver know!).

I released the brake, no key, and pushed it backwards. Rolled easy. Little or no resistance.
