Honda gx670 to harbor freight predator 670 - what clutch do i need?
Wish I had found this forum sooner. Have a 1997 Yamaha G16 that we put in a Honda GX670 with a custom aftermarket/bulletproof clutch in about 20 years ago. Motor is now dead (bent rods etc.). We got the clutch from a guy in Pasadena, CA & cannot find/remember him now. Fast forward to today, just opened the v-twin Predator motor box and the **** shaft is 1" not the 1 1/8" like the honda so our perfectly good clutch is useless. I searched the forum for what u guys use and cannot find specifics but did see a couple who got their clutch from Vegas Carts. So, my question is what specific clutch for this Predator application do you recommend & will we have to get a different belt too (we are pretty hard on the cart offroad, heavy dogs etc)? Thanks.

With a yamaha I think the comet 780 is the sure fit. VC CV tech is beefier but may not fit in a yamaha. Talk to vegascarts they will know for sure.P.S. I just looked at VC's site and they do use the CV tech on the 670 in the yamaha G 16

they make a bushing to from 1 inch to 1 1/8 look on ebay

The CV Tech will work just fine in a G16...
