You should use a crank strap
Strap that inner sheave in as tight as you can to compress the spring It will give you room to work at ease & see what you are doing make sure the shaft is in the up position so you can see where the half moon goes in Once you reinstall on the outer shaft & tighten the nut remove the crank belt it will be a bit hard to get out but it does I never use more than a battery powered impact & never reinstall the cotter pin I never had one come apart, I do over 10 every summer |

Hi everyone, just wanted to update you on my clutch problem. After installing a new moon key and ensuring a nice re assembly the clutch now stays on!!!
