Default yamaha g16 primary clutch noise

Hi, I put a new secondary clutch on my g16 golf buggy as i was told it needed one, as it was making a loud noise, well its not as loud now but it still make's a noise just wondered if it was the primary clutch, any help please thanks Dave in the uk

What kind of noise?? Clicking, grinding, banging etc

Dave, take the clutch cover off the primary clutch, and inspect the weights. There are 3, you will usually see if one or more is loose or not in it's proper seat. g16 weights get flat spotted, but I don't know what that means cause I don't have that stile of clutch. If you search, you can find more posts on this subject.

The rollers that the weights run on get flatspotted. If they are replace them.
