did I fry the controller
I"m a newby as you will see...
2006 club cart - while repairing the A2 cable on motor accidently touched the F2 connector causing sparks. After cable repair done, tried cart and power seems good but when pressed pedal smoke came from under shroud. Disconnected batter opened shroud discovered the "pre-resistor" was hot and melted. Someone told me the solenoid was fried, so changed the solenoid and pre-resistor only to have the same thing happen again, pre-resistor gets hot, disconnected the battery again. Could it be that I fried the controller on the first attempt? Curtis 1510A-5250??? |

Re: did I fry the controller
If its an IQ car you probably did as the controllers are real sensitive,What were you thinking by not unhooking the battery cables?

Re: did I fry the controller
You are correct I was not thinking, all I tried to do was repair a cable that seemed otherwise a simple fix to my original problem - no power to motor.
The does motor has a decal identifying as F2 where one of the cable attaches to it and next to it was the A2 , the one that broke off due to corrosion. Thanks for info. Bob |
