that's the type of swelling on my club car's trojan 6v. batteries. positive posts raising due to swelling at that specific area. So it's "bad", but please explain how bad and why and if it means the batteries are "cooked". They weren't maintained for YEARS. They never got any water and the cart was just used until it failed.
Now, I'm coming in and evaluating. They don't seem to take a charge either individually w/6v charger or in series with 36v charger. I could use some quick advice on whether im wasting my time working with them bats.

If they won't take a charge, you're wasting your time. Go get a new set and treat them right
