Re: Wow I have done it agian and bought another project
Right on. I figured if the ATC rear diff was used, you end up with a brake upgrade, not to mention use of the shaft drive, which has to be way stronger.
For the shifter, try this. Pull the foot lever off the shaft. Then rotate it so it is pointing upward. Now you have to push it towards the back of the cart to shift up, and to the front of the cart to shift down. Might help you visualize what the shifter has to do now. I looked thru my pics of the installs & haven't found anything yet. BTW, the Ebay link didn't work. Try posting the auction #. |

OK, scratch that last thought. I emailed one of the guys I have talked with who did the 250SX transplant in a Clubcar. Here is how he did it. He said the throw on the shifter is like 2" or 3".... push it forward to shift up, backward to shift down.

I got the shifter all put together. I will take more pictures of how it works this weekend. This golf cart is lots of fun and pretty fast.

Does this mean you decided to keep this or you just preparing it for a sale? P.S. Just to get this out the way I have no intention on buying it. WAY to far away... Just wondering on your plans for it.

you know im really not sure at this point. I am leaning toward keeping my 83 ezgo and getting rid of the rest of them. That is the one that I have put all the hard work in. I really like that old one the best. On the other hand the Yamaha runs great and is quiet and alot of fun. |
