Default help with brakes on g16

hey guys i need some help on my brakes on my g16 cart

on the brake cable connecting to the brake lever is a pin with a cotter pin and im trying to get that off but it seems rusted on there .....i beat the hell out of it is there any other way to get this thing off with out messing up the cable ?

Default brake hub help

i just used my torches and went slow on thefirst question ....
but now im having another problem the brakes are still sticking so i took off the rear driver side tire and hub ect......i sprayed brake cleaner on it and now i cant get the hub back on like the pads are pressed out farther than my hub,.... do i need new pads ? or what do i need to do to make the pads not expand and rub against the hub

check the return spring on brake peddle just had to replace mine

Shouldn't matter how old you are, replace it if it needs it.
