I run a K&N filter on mine but had to rejet the carb. It does make a little more power...

So what jet and filter kit did you use?

I took the baffles out of mine so all that is left mostly is the filter and the box. Also rejetted it. It might make a hair more power that way. I filed the jet with a torch tip cleaner until it was large enough. You can get the jet out with the carb in the cart, at least with a G9 you can.

At first I took only that noise thing over the generator off and had to rejet it. Later I took the baffles and then that rubber elbow out but neither seemed to make a difference to power or jetting, only that noise attenuator seemed to matter some. The last 1/4+ of throttle (at carb) only matters if its wound out and then it barely helps. It might go 1mph faster or something I forget that was long ago I did that. The tube into the filter is the smallest part, but it is still larger than the carb throat so not seeing how it can restrict much.

It might help more if you have a less restrictive exhaust.

So where can I find a replacement airbox lid and seal at? I thought I would go ahead and get it running perfect before moving on to building the cage and rear seat. I am going to work on bypassing the governor tonight
