Ser number should be on the cross frame rail above the bats as well as the date code. Should also be on top of the rail beside the right rear pass tire.

My brother checked for serial numbers, and found 2 stickers as you indicated, one EZGO Sport 2+2 PDS Serial#2725267 Date Code B1611, and one bar code sticker date 2/21/2011. Since the fan was installed on the controller, there has not been a recurrence of the overheating (no hot wiring smell or stalling). I'm not thinking this was the best possible fix, but it is working for now.
