total newb needing help identifying what i stumbled upon
so we bought a new camper and a cart was included. it is an electric ezgo. i basically have no idea what im looking at, so can someone help? i know its a 1999 model, with 6 batteries. thats all i can tell from looking at it. is there some way to know if its a marathon, txt, etc? im heading out to the camper this week and would like to "tune it up". i see alot on here saying that 2g cables are a good start. is this accurate? any input or help is greatly appreciated......

It's a TXT for sure. Do the batteries have 3 holes in the top or 4?

Yes the fill holes. You have 6 volt batteries. So more than likely you have a 1999 TXT Series 36v cart. Great application especially for a work horse or off rpad buggy. What do you have planned for it?

well, due to lift restrictions at the park, lifting is out of the question. im going to clean it up, paint and airbrush the body. and powdercoat whatever can be unbolted. id like to speed it up a bit. more of a street cart. the speed limit in the park is 20, but they have to catch me first. due to carrying passengers im guessing torque is the answer.....but where do i start?

Where you need to start is by contacting Scottyb at carts unlimited. He is a sponsor on here. He has the best battery and controller cables in the business. He has his 2 gauge silver soldered cables which would be an awesome upgrade for you. You can also get a 400 amp controller from him. That would give you a solid 20-24 mph with stock tires. Then you can talk to Rick or Robby at plum quick to have your motor redone!
