Default RXV Voltage Reducer

Where is the best place to purchase a reducer for my RXV?? Plan to have lights and 12V power source on this only, no high draw items. Thanks in advance!

Please consider forum sponsors as sources during your shopping.

Not really sure as I have not purchased a voltage reducer from anyone. I have had personal experience with other stuff from Cart Parts Plus and have good experience with them. Scotty B at Carts Unlimited is a tireless contributor here and others have reported he is excellent. There are quite a few others to pick from, so "shop away" !! Good luck - RAY

We have them in two sizes based on what you are going to run. 10A is good for lights and a standard stereo, 25A is necessary if you will add any additional accessories. Please email if you have any questions while looking at reducers on our site or elsewhere and we will attempt to help you make a good decision to meet your needs.

Can you use 1 reducer to run lights and stereo or do you need 1 for each?

You only need one as long as it has an amp output that is equal to or higher than the all the accessories you are trying to run at an given time.

I have two 09 RXV's with lights and a power supply and I simply ran a negative and positive wire from one battery. I know it changes the discharge rate a little but since these items draw little current I have never noticed the draw back, Just saved a little money. If I was to draw a lot of power than I would invest into a DC-DC inverter.

The lights are a set that I had installed when I purchased both carts at my local store. I know everyone says to support site sponsors and they might stock them so take a look. I went on yahoo and searched "OEM style headlights and tail lights for ezgo RXV" and found the set I have. The one problem I had is the headlights were clip on so they rattled when I got the carts. A little epoxy later and I love them and they are bright. They can be upgraded to turn signals and brake lights as well. I also added my 12 volt power supply off the wires for the headlight and have not had a problem. Go riding at night and run a spot light with lights on with no problems. Just make sure you tap into power wire before the switch for the lights.
