Re: CC DS 05 Brushes?
Well guys, I am finally back to my little island where I live and replaced the brushes. That fixed the problem. The engine turns over and starts up as soon as I hit the gas pedal now.
I ended up having to replace the brushes without removing the starter. One of the electrical cables to the top of the starter was rusted on and I didn't want to risk breaking off the bolt. I was able to lossen the starter mount bolts enough to get those long 7" bolts out of the starter end cap and get the brushes out. Thanks again. Just added a windshield and mudflaps. Once the current lift kit's leaf springs break I'll be replacing those too so I'll be back with questions I'm sure. |
