Interesting, I did not think the front would be cut like that. I assume it would be a rectangular hole and not a slot. Now I know what I have ahead of me...

Thanks for the pics!

I'm not saying it's correct, That's how mine is. I can put the light back in place to see how it lines up with the bottom of the cowl (and take a pic of course)

The others I've seen are cut the same way. I think there's even a YouTube video on installation.

Well I finished these today.

Step 1 - Attach template and draw a line for cutting

BGW1.jpg

Step 2 - Remove template and prepare to cut

BGW2.jpg

Step 3 - Cut taking care NOT to cross cut line

BGW3.jpg

Step 4 - Use a file and clean up using the headlight as a guide on where it needs to be cut more. For whatever reason (I guess because it is an inside corner) the top corners on the outsides had to most trimming that needed to be done. Once this was rounded off to allow a perfect fit, insert screws and stand back to look at what you did...

Think about whether you want to install headlights that are adjustable. I have OEM lights on my RXV and with the 6" ligt kit they shine a little higher than I would prefer. They don't however have any adjustment.
