I will add that I am used to Carryalls that generally have had FE350s. So, again, if I have stuck my foot in my mouth I apologize.

Your fine Jeff! Geez man... get your foot out of your mouth!

He didn't say where, or what type of S/G he bought, he just said he bought a new one!
With what info was provided, all I was stating was, depending on what S/G he bought, swapping the wires may work... or it may not!

Hey guys, yes I bought a new one from Newegg.com. Went back through all the wiring the other day. Its all correct and grounds are clean. This thing just wont charge, its driving me and my buddy nuts! Voltage regultor has been replaced as well. The testing we've done off the generator with the cart running is way below what it should be. Are there any bench tests we can run on the voltage regulator with an ohm meter?

Oh forgot to add, the generator still spins backwards when it is wired correctly so im assuming there are several generators that look the same but are wrapped differently internally?

Same thing happened to me, the starter wiring diagram shows ccw wiring on starter, you did nothing wrong switch the wires, forgot the numbers, the two big ones.

Go to the jocabosen manual and look at pages l1-l8, it shows the test procedures on the starter.Forgot to say this also shows the ccw wiring, why, I don't know. If I knew how I would send u the link, but my iPad sucks for this.
