If the brake looks good then I would guess it is the differential. If you took the cover off and everything looked ok, as far as the oil and gears were than I have no idea. You mentioned before about sounding like the gears between the motor and the axles. I have never heard of a problem in between the two but if you troubleshot into that area I have never heard of anyone digging into that area and would be interested in hearing what you find.

Your not gonna believe this one. I serviced the rear diff and put in new gear or and whalla sound is history. I can't believe the new gear oil fixed it.

Love to hear when luck is on your side and maintenance cures a problem. Good for you. I read about problems with the RXV but I can say I put a lot of miles, sometimes real rough miles, on mine and have done regular maintenance and not a single problem, knock on wood. I did have to replace the brake but when I did replace it we hooked cart to the diagnosis port and it had just over 10,000 miles, not bad for original brake in my opinion.
