09 XRT 810 Air Box
Good day... I’ve been working on my cart for the past week and I’ve found a few areas of concern. It has an FE350 motor and it didn’t want to run right. I’ve got it 98% corrected I think. I replaced all the fuel lines and removed the fuel pump and cleaned it really well. Its running much better now. I also had to repair the air box, but more on that below.
I’ve been reading post after post and found a post that said something about the air box on theirs had a crack that made the cart run bad. I started looking at mine and it appears my air box is HUGE. It looks like it runs under the cart to the front drivers side wheel well. I did find a post with diagrams, but couldn’t figure out if jut the bottom half was available or not. I guess the old owner had tires that were too large and rubbed a hole in the plastic air box. Being its right behind the tire I can see how this would be a major issue being the tire kicking up dust is going straight into the air box. I did some redneck fixin and put some duct tape on the hole, but I know that’s not a long time fix. Anyone have an experience with this or have a clue how hard that is to change out or if a different air box will work? Thanks in advance for the input. |
