Re: Lifted or Stock?
I say you can't go wrong with a lifted cart however many applications you can go wrong with a stock cart. Can't tell you how many times I got hung up before my cart was lifted. Bigger tires beefier tires the whole lifted package is just better in my opinion.

Re: Lifted or Stock?
Taller tires are needed to increase the ground clearance of the differential pan and lifting the body higher off the axles may be needed to keep the top of the tires from rubbing on the body, however doing either or both, also raises the center of gravity and reduces the cart's lateral stability.
Nearly all, if not all, modifications to a cart have their pros and cons, so take the time to figure out what the gains and losses are going to be, before making changes. That way your dream will be less likely to turn into a nightmare. |

Re: Lifted or Stock?
Even a Mild Lift is almost a necessity if you go anywhere other than your backyard. One rut or rock, even on a nice trail and the rear-axle gets hung up.They don't need to be lifted to the sky, just enough to fit the desired tire properly.

Re: Lifted or Stock?
When the times comes for my cart, I am not gonna lift it, but I will use it strictly on the street - in my subdivision. If you look at the pics of people carts here, you will not see as many street only carts, tho. Seems golf carts are more popular with off roaders.....

Re: Lifted or Stock?
You can go a lot of places in the desert with a stock height cart, you can go a lot more places on a lifted one...
