Default Inner tube vs new tires.

Ok so call me a cheap A** but I was looking at the price of new tires and possibly wheels and soon enough I came across inner tubes. So I began to wonder. Can I just put inner tubes in the old tires? I'm not moding the cart except for the the setup of the batteries.
The old tires were left on it and it was left out w/out air, 3 have minor crease air leaks so they wont hold air for more than 2 days. What are the thoughts of people that have done this before or even those that have never done it. Let me know if i am treading on thin ice by even thinking about it.

I see no problem with it. IMO, too many things come with tubeless tires now. I've put tubes in all of them. Log splitter, wheelbarrow, hand truck. Come to think of it, My cart had tubes in the back tires. I had it for 1.5 years w/ no problems. No idea how long the P.O. ran it like that.

Tubes will allow you to get many more years out of your old tires.

Just make sure there's no rust/scale on the inside of the wheel. It would surely rub thru the tube.

No issues with tubes. If you do alot of road riding put some baby powder on the tube to help keep it from scuffing on the tire.I have tubesin my front tires, one has a 1-1/2" long tear in the sidewall and no issues after 4 years.

tubes are fine, I've used them before in tubeless tires with no problems. If you do them yourself make for sure that you don't pinch the tube when putting the tire back on. And the best thing is: their cheaper.

I have used tubes in several MG midget projects with wire wheels (wires usually have to have tubes because of the holes in the wheels) no problems. Altho, if there are cracks in the tires, as you say, eventually they WILL break, so keep an eye on them!

So, what size tube fits a standard golf cart wheel/tire?
