Re: Wrecker
Well I got some more done on the wreck-er what ever it ends up as.I got a steering wheel off ebay for $20,repaired the cowl & the wheel is just right.I think it looks like a VW bus, what do you think?
I got the sparky rear end out,cut the spring hangers off & welded them on the gasser, mounted it back in & rolled it out so I could clean up some of my mess in the garage. Today I made an engine cradle & mounted it ,put the new 780 clutch on the engine & the driven on the rear end for a trial fit.The engine doesn't fit!!! I'm going to have to move the rear end back four inches like Rifter did,it'll be pretty simple,I'm using the leaf springs so I just have to move the hangers. It's a good thing I'm in no hurry |

Re: Wrecker
Dang it man! You been cutting that old thing up like it was butter. What did you do for the lift in front. I assume the same as the back since it's leaf's in the front also. Looks cool and should be a whole lot better with the Big Block. I guess! cough, cough!
You should have at least gave the electric a try before this! |

Re: Wrecker
If there's a moderator looking can I get this changed to the Big Block section& get the name changed to Werck--er?
I got the rear end mounted & made an engine cradle , have it mounted & moved the rear end back 4 inches.I'm still waiting on backing plates & brakes,I shouldn't have told them I'm in no hurry I think the major part of the welding is done. It looks like the engine is about 1/2 " too tall so I'm going to raise the body 3/4 of an inchhookm |
