Thanks to everyone
. . . I would do what Sergio recommends and get rid of OBC altogether first . . . if problem never resurfaces you're good to go . . . you already eliminated the charger control of OBC . . .

No problem Dustinboyd - if all of this doesn't work, I can try to find the name of the electronics repair place that sold me a replacement/rebuilt controller for $99.00 exchange. That was a few years back - but its been working great ever since. If they're still in business, it may be an option. Regen 1 controllers like ours aren't sold *new* anymore - so rebuild is probably the only choice (if it really comes to that).

Not entirely true - regen carts have options which include new 3-500 amp FSIP controls and removal of the regen solenoid.
Check it out.

I guess that's right - They are Regen 1 and they certainly will work. Those are the ones that use an "adapter" cable in-line right? I guess I was thinking more of the Black "T" plug-for-plug compatible ones which are no longer around. Now that you mention it, I did know these replacements are still available.

When you say removal of the Regen solenoid - you DO mean that the Regen function still works with these newer ones, yes? (I'm actually asking for myself in case mine ever goes down again).
